For the past several months, we have been using a behavior chart to try and help Ian make better choices.
It is pretty simple.
If he does something good, thoughtful, or without fighting us, he gets a "good" sticker. If he yells, hits, fights us, etc, he gets a "bad" sticker. If the good stickers reach the "monkey" stickers first, he got to pick a prize (dollar store trinkets), but if the bad stickers reached the monkey first, he would lose the prize.
When he made it all the way to the end, he got to choose a big reward.
He chose to go bowling and he wanted to go with Uncle Derk.
It was a really fun night!
We went to dinner first...
Then we killed some time at the bowling alley's arcade while we waited for Derk's girlfriend to join us.
Finally, it was time to bowl!
Thanks Uncle Derk for helping us celebrate Ian's achievement!!!!
